As a designer I strive to create spaces that beautifully and thoughtfully reflect the dreams, visions, and tastes of my clients. Transforming a space with stylish appointments, carefully considered finishes, spacial harmony, and quality workmanship is only part of my job. Ultimately, I strive to disappear behind my finished projects - to leave my clients with a space that sincerely expresses who they are and how they live.
In 2001, after 17 years as a marketing & management telecommunications professional, I left the corporate world to pursue my passion for design. My formal education, a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Management from Clarkson University, combined with the skills I've honed in various positions from sales and project management to implementing complex business solutions translate seamlessly into the design process. I was fortunate to work with several talented designers and contractors and in 2007 became certified (AKBD). Because I continuously strive to provide the best services to my clients, I attained a higher designation (CKBD) in 2018 and in 2020 received the highest designation in the kitchen and bath industry, CMKBD or Certified Master Kitchen and Bath Designer. In addition to my passion for excellence, I did this to distinguish myself as a premier Kitchen & Bath Designer by the National Kitchen & Bath Association. These rooms are my favorite spaces to transform and the specialty of my firm, Inspired Designs.
I enjoy working on varied projects from residential room makeovers and full scale kitchen and bath remodels to commercial design for hotels and collaborating with custom home builders. I am an active member of the National Kitchen & Bath Association and served as a chapter officer of the Texas North Plains NKBA chapter for 6 years. I also am an active member of the Interior Design Society and their Dallas Fort Worth chapter; I constantly monitor the latest industry trends, have a commitment to green design for environmental sustainability, and continue my education in the design field.
I am grateful for the opportunity to do what I love, to have the flexibility to be with my family, and most of all, to have the chance to serve in a creative business that brings me so much joy.
